Shein is a fast-growing Chinese e-commerce powerhouse known for its fast-fashion style and strong online presence. Initially, the company focused on women’s clothing, but it has since expanded to offer men’s apparel, children’s wear, and a variety of accessories like bags, shoes, and makeup. This broad range appeals to fashion-conscious consumers of all ages. Shein focuses on affordability and quickly updates its inventory to align with the latest global fashion trends, targeting markets in Europe, North America, Australia, the Middle East, and beyond.
As one of the largest fashion retailers globally, Shein is set on increasing its presence in the United States. To accomplish this, the company partnered with PLANNET to move and design a new headquarters in downtown Los Angeles, occupying around 30,000 square feet at The Row. This move shows Shein’s commitment to building a strong local presence, which is important for connecting with fashion influencers, design talent, and media outlets.
PLANNET played a vital role in this relocation, as well as our project partners: JLL, Revel Architecture & Design, and Sierra Pacific Contractors Corp. The team developed the technology infrastructure needed for the new headquarters. This included designing and installing wired and wireless voice and data cabling for reliable connectivity and setting up advanced audiovisual systems. PLANNET also designed the security infrastructure, which is crucial for any high-profile corporate setting.
The new headquarters includes several specialized spaces for Shein’s activities, such as:
– Livestream and Control Rooms
– Showrooms
– Game Room
– Collaboration Spaces
This relocation project reflects Shein’s goal of combining technology with modern workspace design. By working with PLANNET, Shein has created an environment that supports creativity, effective communication, and brand storytelling. As Shein continues to grow and shape the global fast-fashion market, its Los Angeles headquarters demonstrates its focus on growth, flexibility, and a modern digital retail approach.
