Today we are spotlighting PLANNET Principal, Mark Berg. Mark has a broad range of technology experience gained through over 20 years of working in technology consulting. Mark graduated from L.A. County’s Biola University and is associated with EDUCAUSE, and the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU).
Since joining PLANNET in 2007, Mark has been a valuable member of the data center consulting team with hands-on project experience, including data center assessments, architecting, strategy and planning, and data center consolidation/relocations. He has successfully led numerous complex and critical path projects through programming, budgeting, design, sourcing, bid analysis, integrator selection, and implementation oversight involving multiple technology disciplines. PLANNET clients who have benefited from Mark’s project management leadership include Metropolitan Water District, LA Metro, Mentor Graphics, Mercedes-Benz Group, US Airways, Herbalife, MGM Studios, Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital, and Edwards Lifesciences.

Mark is also a recognized leader and expert in critical facilities technology in the education space. He has served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Chapman University while also holding the post of Director of Networks and Communication. His project experience includes the design/build of voice/data networks for new construction at Chapman University that include some of Chapman’s most notable facilities like the $40 million Marion Knott Studios housing the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Oliphant Hall housing the College of Performing Arts, and the Leatherby Libraries.
