Electronic Arts (EA) is an American developer, marketer, publisher, and distributor of video games. Their leading-edge games and ahead-of-the-curve technologies allow 600 million active players and fans worldwide to play household name games such as EA SPORTS™ FIFA, Battlefield™, Apex Legends™, The Sims™, Madden NFL, Need for Speed™, Titanfall®, and F1®.

PLANNET partnered with Electronic Arts on their most recent tenant improvement project with their relocation from Playa Vista, California, to a new building in Marina Del Rey, California. Electronic Arts leased approximately 50,000 SF over two (2) floors of the new building. PLANNET’s Scope of work includes design, bid management, and construction administration of wired/wireless voice-data infrastructure and audiovisual systems for the campus.

EA needed a multi-dimensional technology partner that could see both the big picture and deliver on the details. PLANNET’s diverse team of technologists and designers worked together with EA to guide and streamline the process, cut design to implementation lead times, managed costs, and delivered a cutting-edge, inspirational, and productive work environment to the EA organization.

PLANNET has previously assisted Electronic Arts with relocating its Los Angeles, California studio to two (2) buildings totaling approximately 200,000 SF of space in Playa Vista, California. The work included planning, design, and implementation project management of the structured communications cabling system and a 3,500 SF data center. The PLANNET team also oversaw the design of a 1,200 SF Motion Capture Studio, Audio Mix Rooms, a Dolby Atmos Screening Room, a Music Lab, and a Play Test area.
