Hulu’s new 90,000 SF office in Santa Monica, California office has a collaborative design that integrates technology within every aspect. Numerous displays and user inputs can be found throughout the space, as well as large HD resolution flat panel displays, audio and video teleconferencing systems, ceiling mounted PTZ cameras, and a distributed audio system using ceiling speakers.

The Gather Area, which is designed for large meetings with seating on a slanted stair case between the second and third floors contains two portable 80” HD resolution flat panel displays and a dedicated high brightness LCD HD resolution video projector to provide video support. The sources available to the audio visual system are the two input locations, a dedicated Blu-Ray player, and video teleconference system with a PTZ camera mounted next to the projector. To re-produce the program and microphone audio there is a distributed audio system with speakers installed in the walls around the main Gather Area.

The audio visual systems are controlled by a wired or wireless control system. Features like wireless microphone systems were made available for use during meetings and to provide far audio reach while interacting via video teleconference call. Wall mounted HD resolution flat panel displays are found in three medium size breakout / conference rooms, and within the “Game Hubs”, which are used for small meeting usage or relaxing during breaks. A media input panel provides connectivity for current as well as future systems.
