PlanNet lead the effort to replace an aging UPS system with a new internally redundant and expandable 500kW UPS system at the primary data center for a heavy-duty truck manufacturer based in the Pacific Northwest. The new UPS and batteries were located in the penthouse requiring structural upgrades. New PDUs were installed and existing PDUs re-circuited to provide 2N redundant power distribution and prepare for a future 2N UPS and generator system.

PlanNet developed the upgrade plan, conceptual design, performance specs and RFP and helped select capital equipment purchases. PlanNet reviewed detail design, provided construction support and lead onsite commissioning. Planning, design, construction, commissioning and cutover was performed in and around the live data center with no scheduled or unscheduled downtime.
