The MEC and Cohn & Wolfe Renovation project exemplifies the beautiful integration of technology within a stylish and functional workspace.
MEC and Cohn & Wolfe are two separate subsidiary companies of WPP Group USA, Inc. The two companies decided to collocate together in a 23,000 SF office space, each with their own network requirements.
To address the program, PlanNet assigned an IT relocation project manager to serve as the single-point-of-contact who managed and coordinated all aspects of the technology systems and infrastructure that were integrated into the new facility for both firms. This coordination allowed for seamless assimilation into the new high-tech space.
PlanNet worked side-by-side with HOK who was the design architect responsible for achieving the look of the workspace. PlanNet also managed the program, design and implementation oversight for the distributed antenna system (DAS), the structured communications cabling (data/telecommunications); the technology rooms; the audio visual systems and infrastructure; and the security systems and infrastructure.
