PLANNET’s approach to QA & Commissioning is grounded in a thorough understanding of your critical facility’s requirements. Whether the project was designed and constructed by PLANNET, or others, we take time to understand design intent and potential failure points, and lead onsite efforts to validate expected performance in all modes of operation.

In addition to leading construction level commissioning of projects designed and constructed by PLANNET or by others, we’re is often tasked with design review, including review of equipment selection and submittals. We routinely develop detailed, site-specific operational documentation, including Normal Operating Description (NOD), Standard Transfer Procedures (STPs) and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs). We can also provide operational training for your staff.

As a general contractor, PLANNET applies construction project management methodology to lead commissioning. We believe a well-managed commissioning effort improves the level of documentation and detail achieved (deficiencies identified and resolved), and also importantly, protects the project schedule and budget. Effective project management is even more critical when commissioning new or modified equipment in and around live, 24/7 operations, such as data centers, emergency operations centers, etc.  PLANNET has led commissioning efforts at Daimler Trucks North America, City National Bank, Cedars-Sinai Health System, SoCalGas, SDG&E, Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, USC, Herbalife, DCI Eastern Creek (NSW Australia), and many other client locations.
