Case Smith, Technology Architect and Partner

Case Smith serves as PLANNET’s Chief Technology Officer and Senior IT Infrastructure Architect. Case primarily focuses on advising clients on best practices and best value IT Architectures that are tailored to meet their business goals. Case has over 25 years of consulting, information technology, and data communications experience, with a primary emphasis on IT infrastructure technology, including cloud and software-defined networks, converged and virtualized compute platforms, network and cyber security, operations, and systems management.

Case has significant experience in all areas of IT Infrastructure, including the design and implementation of enterprise-class compute platforms. Architecture, Design, and Implementation of data networks (local, wide area, metro data center, and wireless), compute environments (virtualized, cloud, hyper-converged, and storage), cyber security solutions (Firewalls, End Point, Detection/Inspection, vulnerability management, etc.) Additionally, he has worked with clients to establish network management and network and security operations centers (N/SOC).

Prior to joining PLANNET, Case held key management, IT architecture, and technical positions with a number of national and regional organizations.
